SPRING 2025

TUESDAY

Chess (K-6th): Learn chess with Silver Knights Chess Academy (formerly Magnus Chess Academy), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. Act Up! Wizarding Playhouse (2nd-6th): Inspired by popular wizards and witches from Harry Potter to The Wizard of Oz, young performers experience a theatrical journey in this acting class by Moonlit Wings. Explore original scenes, songs, and games that bring magic to life on stage. Sharpen your acting and singing skills while making new friends along the way. Parents are invited to a mini-performance during the final class.

 

Ultimate Sports (K-3rd): Ultimate Sports includes the Sports Mix class - Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, PLUS Run Club, Relay Races, Sharks & Minnows, Capture the Flag, and more. Athletes start each class with warm ups, move on to learn the basics of dribbling, shooting, passing and catching for different sports, and then form teams to scrimmage when the kids are ready. Coach will also engage kids in team racing competitions, sharks and minnows, capture the flag, different types of tag games, and other fun games such as walk the plank, join the crew. Ultimate sports is all about fun, fitness and learning new skills. It’s a great way to be active with friends after the school day!


WEDNESDAY

LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential Robotics: Amusement Park (K-3rd): This program invites children to design and code the amusement park thematic rides using LEGO® SPIKE™ kits . They'll tackle projects like building ferris wheels and carousels, blending fun with foundational STEAM education. Each project enhances computational thinking, sequence creation, and problem-solving skills, where every creation adds to an imaginary park wonderland.

 

Volleyball (2nd-6th): Our volleyball program is a perfect intro to one of the fastest growing sports in the area. We will work on fundamentals through play, keeping each day fun with games and drills that build strength and confidence, as well as learn about proper rotations and spatial awareness. Our goal is to get each player the most touches possible each day to ensure noticeable improvement and constant engagement. This program is for beginners as well as experienced players, and by the end of the session we hope to be able to play out competitive points. Everyone will have a blast with this great game!

 

Pottery: Contemporary Art (K-6th): Join us this Spring as we explore the exciting world of Contemporary Art! Learn about how these famous artists changed the world of art by coloring outside the lines. In this class you’ll create pinch pots, coil pots and slab hand built pottery from start to finish. You’ll even get a chance to glaze your own pottery. Our materials are professional grade stoneware and get fired in our kiln making the pieces both beautiful and functional! Ready to explore? THURSDAY

Cooking: Savory & Sweet (K-6th): Just like the name suggests! Each day will feature a sweet treat that will go perfectly with dinner or one savory dish that is sure to become a family favorite! We'll work on learning new baking skills like creaming, whisking, and melting. And cooking skills such as stewing, stir-frying, and sautéing. 

 

Flag Football (2nd-6th): In this super active program, players will learn the basics of flag football. Each day will end with full games, but will begin with lead-up games and skill building to help them hone their skills of throwing, catching, dodging, and flag pulling. Players will also learn how to run a huddle and create plays to share with teammates to make the most out of each snap.

 

Amazing Earth (K-4th): Amazing Earth focuses on the study of the earth and its natural processes. Participants will have the opportunity to explore various topics related to geology, meteorology, and ecology through hands-on activities and experiments. They will learn about the formation of rocks and minerals, the water cycle, weather patterns, and the interdependence of living organisms and their environment. The program aims to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy, while also raising awareness about environmental issues and the importance of conservation.
