TUESDAY

Sports & PE Games (K-3rd)

In this program, we will play some of the best sports and PE games ever invented. We will choose from knockout, extreme kickball, handball, capture the flag, modified dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, soccer and more. We will also take suggestions from children to make sure the fun never ends! Each day, our goal is to motivate each player to compete with high effort and a positive attitude towards self and others. We hope you can join us!

 

Hungry Hungry Science (2nd-6th)

Need some science to sink your teeth into? In Hungry Hungry Science we will explore different scientific concepts using food as our main vehicle for experimentation. We will not only use ingredients to explain different ideas through simple recipes, but make edible experiments as well to learn about reactions, acids & basis, biology, nutrition and more! If you haven’t had your fill of science fun, come fill your bellies in Hungry Hungry Science.

 

Chess (K-6th)

Learn chess with Magnus Academy (formerly Silver Knights), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time. This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time. WEDNESDAY

Ultimate Frisbee (4th-6th)

Non-stop fun in this totally awesome program! In this super active program, players will learn the basics of Ultimate Frisbee. Each day will end with full games, but will begin with lead-up games and skill building to help them hone their skills of throwing, catching, and running. Players will also learn that ultimate is a game where kids referee themselves! They will share strategies, learn how to make their own calls fairly, and work with teammates to make the most out of every play. This program is open to players of all different skill levels and is guaranteed to be a blast!

 

STEM: Time Travelers (K-4th)

Embark on a series of engineering expeditions through time and space, charting the course of innovation from ancient civilizations to the modern age. Along the way, students will uncover the geographical and historical contexts that gave rise to groundbreaking inventions like the wheel, the telegraph, and other marvels of engineering. Through a blend of hands-on experimentation, design challenges, and historical inquiry, they'll gain a deeper understanding of how human ingenuity has shaped the world we live in today.

 

Fall: Masters of Impressionism! (1st-6th)

Join us this Fall as we explore the exciting world of Impressionism! Learn about how these famous artists changed the world of art using their imaginations and explosions of color. In this class you’ll create pinch pots, coil pots and slab hand built pottery from start to finish. You’ll even get a chance to glaze your own pottery. Our materials are professional grade stoneware and get fired in our kiln making the pieces both beautiful and functional! Ready to explore? Come on and let’s get muddy! 


THURSDAY

LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential Robotics: Great Adventures (1st-6th)

In this program, children will be introduced to computational thinking. They'll begin to understand what a sequence is, be able to follow instructions to create a sequence, and describe the sequence to their peers. They'll learn how to break problems down into smaller parts, identify cause and effect, and understand simple loops. Finally, they'll explore the process of testing and debugging programs to ensure that their programs work as intended. Children will find ways of helping the main characters, and practice recounting an experience using relevant details, which will help to develop their collaborative conversation skills.

 

Drawing Made Easy with Kidcreate Studio (K-6th)

Have you ever wished drawing was easy? Well for each drawing project, students will learn a simple step-by-step method as they draw well-dressed llamas, cute kittens, adorable pandas, and more. Plus, kids still get to paint to add vibrant colors on their drawings! Drawing is easy, fun, and anyone can do it- and this class proves it!

 

Hip Hop Dance (K-6th)

Kids in Motion hip hop class is a high energy, exciting dance fitness class, with an emphasis on hip hop music and dances. Classes are set up with kid friendly music, movements, and routines. They will learn choreography to about three songs per class. In addition to a dance workout, they will end the class with a super fun dance game, such as freeze dance, dancing 4 corners, follow the leader, and the like! Instructors are experienced dance fitness teachers and all instructors receive further training through Kids in Motion lead teachers.
